I’m John Ravenell Jr a.k.a John Kind — the visionary and driving force behind John Kind Studios LLC, an independent creative production company based in Boston. My work lives at the intersection of music, film, and storytelling — blending the technical precision of engineering with the heart and rhythm of hip-hop culture.
What began as a passion for sound and expression has grown into a mission: to create meaningful, high-quality audiovisual work that amplifies voices often overlooked and redefines what creative independence looks like.
Over the years, I’ve directed, produced, and engineered projects spanning music videos, documentaries, branded content, and live events — from capturing Boston’s cultural resilience during the pandemic to helping artists and organizations shape their stories with clarity and power. Each project has been a lesson in authorship, collaboration, and standing firm in one’s creative vision.
