CASE STUDY 3
The Hinkle Approach
Overview
Brand storytelling engagement created to introduce The Hinkle Approach and communicate founder Betsy Hinkle’s original teaching methodology through a clear, accessible visual story.
Challenge
The Hinkle Approach had an established philosophy and teaching method, but needed a concise way to communicate what made the approach distinctive to people encountering it for the first time.
The goal was to translate that knowledge into a story that could explain the work, establish trust, and give the organization a stronger piece of media for introducing its mission and methodology.
Approach
John Kind Studios developed the project through discovery, story development, production planning, creative direction, filming, and post-production.
The production centered Betsy’s voice and expertise while using the teaching environment and supporting visuals to give viewers a clearer understanding of the philosophy behind The Hinkle Approach.
Solutions
Founder brand film
On-camera interview and storytelling
Educational/environmental B-roll
Social media cutdowns
Messaging and story development
Production management
Video editing and post-production
Outcome
This project demonstrated how thoughtful production can help turn a live performance into a lasting piece of creative storytelling.
John Kind Studios worked closely with the client to capture the energy, personality, and collaborative nature of the performance while building a visual piece around the goals of the project.
The experience also reinforced something central to how we approach creative work: every production is shaped not only by what happens in front of the camera, but by the people, purpose, and story behind it.
