Bring the writing, sound, and identity of a project together.
An artist can have strong individual ideas while still needing a clear direction for the complete release.
SAD DADDY shows John Kind’s own process of developing an 11-track project through writing, recording, narrative decisions, and visual identity.

The problem: the pieces need to belong to the same project
A release involves decisions about what to say, how it should sound, what order the material belongs in, and how the audience first encounters it.
Without a clear direction, recording and presentation can develop separately. The artist then has to resolve those differences late in the process.
The strategy: use the story to guide the creative decisions
For SAD DADDY, John developed an album around personal experience, identity, emotional struggle, and reconstruction.
He wrote and recorded vocals using licensed instrumentals, shaped the project’s narrative, and connected the artwork to its personal history.
The project demonstrates how a central creative idea can guide writing, performance, sequencing, and presentation.
